Apply for Summer Bridge

Step 1: Apply

Participation in the UC Merced Summer Bridge Program is by invitation only.

Invitations will be sent to eligible students in May. If you were not invited to the program, you can still submit your interest to be notified if spots become available by submitting the Summer Bridge Application.

Step 2: Check your UC Merced email

To check your UC Merced email, log in to the student portal.

  • If approved, a Summer Bridge Program acceptance packet will be sent to your UC Merced email address.

Step 3: Accept your Summer Bridge offer and submit the required documents

To secure your participation in the Summer Bridge Program, you'll need to:

  • Complete your Summer Bridge acceptance packet by the deadline (details to come).
  • Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) and confirm that the UC Merced school code (041271) is listed. Please note: If you submitted a FAFSA or CADAA for the current academic year, you must submit one for the previous academic year.
  • Complete required placement exams.
  • Agree to live in on-campus housing for the duration of the Summer Bridge On-Campus Experience.
  • Submit all required Admissions documents and meet your Conditions of Admission (more information to come).
  • Submit your participation waivers (if you are under 18).
